What I supervise

I supervise PhD research across my research themes: personality and individual differences at work; motivation and Reinforcement Sensitivity Theory; learning and the hybrid model; constructive and destructive leadership; maverickism, risk and the dark side of personality; and evidence-based management, strategy and innovation.

Methods

My students typically combine psychometric measurement with survey, longitudinal and experimental designs, analysed with multivariate methods such as structural equation modelling. Several have worked with industry partners.

Where my students go

More than 20 of my PhD students have completed, and many hold academic posts at universities including the University of Melbourne, the University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, Monash University, the University of Western Australia and UNSW. Others work as practitioners, entrepreneurs and researchers in organisations such as CSIRO.
